BLENDER PAGE 5xj_signet.py script runs in blender 2.49b and generates a signet ring mesh model which is normally just the starting point in a ring design. This page will describe how to generate and edit additional mesh models in blender that can be used with 5xj_signet.py. These mesh models can be projected and remapped on the signet ring mesh model surface. This process will require additional proficency with blender. It remains to be seen what kind of interface will be made avaliable for scripts in blender 2.5+. Moving to 2.5+ is not going to be a trivial experience. Perhaps in time the process will become easier. (as additional documentation becomes avaliable) Right now I'm going to continue developing 5xj_signet.py using blender 2.49b. Also, I got to say, I'm really very happy with blender 2.49b. It does everything I need it to do.... so I don't really have a lot of motivation to go to 2.5+
