![]() NOTES: Oil the bearings daily with WD-40 You can machine the large delrin shive to use different size drive belts and to change the speed ratio (sherline spindle diameter / cutter shive diameter = speed multiplication) Other optional bearing assemblies can also bolt onto the spindle bracket Assembly can also be ordered with optionial 3/64 id bearings - for 3/64 cutters A larger bearing assembly is also avaliable which has 1/4" id bearings and a spindle that accepts 1/8" cutters or 3/16" cutters |
TAIG ID SPINDLE KIT $399 This kit is composed of a mounting bracket that bolts on the side of the taig headstock (requires drilling and tapping two 10-32 holes) a brass bar with two small ball bearings 3/32 id diameter a small brass shive with a 0-80 UNF set screw an 0-ring drive belt and a large delrin shive that screws on the sherline spindle The bearing bar is adjusted from the top of the mounting bar adjustable slide for o-ring tension The bearing bar also accepts an optional boring bar which can be used to machine the inside and outside ring diameters and with my optional software comfort fit and half round bands The optional 1/8 inch cutter bearing assy is shown here: ![]() |
