Oct 17, 2004 very rough draft I cannot overstate the importance of the wax ring mandrel Much of this process is hardware dependant Machine the wax blank inside diameter on the lathe with the wax tube held in the 3-jaw chuck Unscrew the 3-jaw chuck from the lathe and screw it on the mill rotary axis When you run the 5xj_stl.exe *.nc file the ring mandrel will be all that is holding the ring model in the 3-jaw chuck The wax mandrel will allow you to machine the inside of the ring with conventional toolpath files |
